From the mountains of the Sistema Iberico range, 7,592 feet in height, Alto Moncayo uses some of the world’s oldest Garnacha to produce rich wines in an international style. The grapes are harvested at low yields, fermented in small, open vats to allow parcel selection, then matured in 100 percent new French and American oak.

The wines are 100 percent Garnacha. Their flavors plush and dense, with exuberant, ripe fruit, and toasty, coffee-scented oak. Though opulent, thney are balanced by well-integrated tannins and very fresh acidity, a result of the high altitude.
